First Photo

Lucy takes her first photo.  Looking through the viewfinder and pushing the button.  Keeping it old school and starting with the basics:  SLR camera with black and white film.  In other words, I don’t yet know what her first photos look like.  Because I have a stack of film rolls that need to go to Helix and developed and scanned!  The anticipation is… kind of killing me, but genuinely very nice.  Nice to have to wait for something and to know that a surprise awaits!  Like opening a present, opening that envelope of prints.  Those simple pleasures that don’t exist anymore.  I’m bringing it back.  We are going to be a film family, even if we have to do it right along side the digital. And so it begins!
