This is our Chicago baby shower, held at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba in Lincoln Park, hosted by Pete’s sister Jennifer. All of our friends and family came, great food, and gourmet cupcakes just for me! I stared longingly at the sangria. The guests were asked to bring gently used items and books, and boy did they deliver! We got so many great books and other gifts.
With my good buddy, Archie, who also took most of these photos. A great gift for me, as I was so busy socializing I couldn’t take many.
Someone knew to pick gerbera daisies… my favorite, and what we had in our wedding.
With my old, good buddy Eric.
Here we are showing off the baby Amish dress we had bought in Pennsylvania.
Beautiful Cornsilk Cabbage Patch Doll from Kristin and Meeka. Red hair!
Winner for Best Envelope, this is from Archie. Brilliant.
And we had a baby cousin make a surprise appearance – we met Timmy for the first time! He was 10 days old.
I had been making this blue sock monkey for Cletus, but since Timmy was born first I decided it should go to him. I never did make another monkey for Cletus…:/ I guess Cletus had to share before s/he was born!

Bike ride with Pete on Labor Day weekend. Starting to get uncomfortable on the bike at 7 months pregnant! And yes, I always wore a helmet. But my hair looked nice that day and wanted to show it in the photo!
