Out of nowhere, lucy has gotten so good at doing puzzles. She was never terribly interested in them before, but then I pulled out a 20 piece puzzle and she loved it, and did it over and over again. I knew I had to up the ante, so I started pulling out more and more difficult ones. She kept of mastering them in a matter of minutes, so I had to go to the thrift store and keep getting more. Right now she has a 48 piece ballerina puzzle she has mastered, and a 28 piece alphabet puzzle that goes straight in a line across the floor. That is fairly difficult to do considering she doesn’t even know the alphabet yet. The latest is a 100 piece farm animal puzzle, which she is definitely intimidated by. I will have to sit down with her and really get it started and show her that it is OK even though the pieces are very small. Hopefully this is great for the brain development!
